recently ive been forced to use a proxy server for my web browsing. This solved the problem with web pages. But, since using the proxy i have not been able to connect to msn messenger, gamespy arcade, my ftp client doesnt work and a load of other programs cannot connect to the internet!
If you are specifying a proxy server rather than a webcache maybe it's a web only one?
Can't see that changing webcache will make any difference to all of that, I think you might be trying to proxy everything through whatever it is you've connected to, and it only deals with web traffic.
