7-16s told off: 80%
7-16s shouted out: 50%
7-11s told they were "noisy" or a "nuisance": 25%
11-16s threatened with violence: 25%

The charity cites the case of an eight-year-old girl in west Somerset who was stopped from cycling down her street because a neighbour complained the wheels squeaked.

In another case, an irate neighbour burst a ball belonging to a three-year-old boy every time it bounced over her hedge.

You have to be like fair cos if kids were more provided for in terms of decent playgrounds and so forth where they can cause minimum disruptions to other ppl then they will have all their energy and frustrations let out and therefore be less aggressive to ppl. That why atm they hang round places bored out of their mind and nothing to do. This is all theorotical, though in my day in the 80's, it was bliss.... i could make tons of noise and all the adults were happy.....I could even play football lol...

The other point to mkae is that most older kids like to taunt neighbours because they know full well the neighbours cant do a damned thing.

to some degree the kidnappings are proberbly making parents keep there children indoors though most kids at a young age get in to a lot of bother anyway some neghibours dont like noise or kids having fun near/on there property

im not bothered really im stuck indoors alot always have been nothing wrong with me but people just dont like kids making noise as kids do...........

Interesting. I was of the opinion that if you even said 'Boo!' to a group of youngsters nowadays, you you would be subjected to a stream of abuse that would make even a para cringe, followed by being beaten to the ground and hospitalised for a year. Perhaps, I shouldn't believe all that the Mail and the Express say.

As a parent of 3, we have always tried to keep our kids inside.

Because when they went out they get beaten up by the little tw**s that live near us.

Don't be stupid! You won't get that at ALL.

No, you'll be sued by the parents for the stress of disturbing their children whilst playing which will obviously affect their education, social skills and 'personal development'. Expect to have compensation for all this demanded of you, plus social exclusion from your own town....

Too true.

My friend has had his car badly damaged by next door's son on more than one occasion, he even has the evidence on video tape.
What did the police do when they eventualy bothered to attend, they cauntioned him, big deal. My friend is left with bills totaling £300 for the excess on his insurance policy and no chance of recovering the money. He and his wife are so afraid of further incidents they are moving house this coming weekend.

That is sad, so sad.
This Country is going to the dogs FAST.
Zero tolerance of ALL crimes is needed to get the country back in to line.
The ban on Corporal Punishment should be rescinded to teach children the do's and dont's of everyday normal life, unfortunately there are a few parents that need teaching a lesson or two first.
