STB nearly melting card.. Replacement?

Is anybody else having problems with their PACE STB being so hot that the card is burned? My card is half black, nearly melted from the heat.. Surely this cant be good for both the receiver nor the card? What if the heat is enough to start a fire?

Im not happy with this and would like my box replaced.. Any chance of this?

Every chance - call CS and they'll arrange for a replacement card, and a replacement box if it turns out to be faulty.

My card is nicely browned at the chip end, but then it has been cooking for the best part of three years now. If yours has completely blackened, especially if it has gone that way quite quickly, do as Paul suggests and check the ventilation around the STB, then as OB says, if that's not a problem, tell CS and they should send out a new one.

Fingers crossed a nice 4010 box (if in Langley) - they run much cooler
