are both available in your area? perhaps checking the sites of the relevant companies might help you:

www.ntlhome.com
www.telewest.com

Re: is telewest cheaper then ntl - digital and bb package?

There will be nowhere where both are availible. The cable cake was cut into franchises, many smaller cos took these and built networks over time they have merged to form NTL and Telewest. Nowhere will have both cables running past the front door.

Use the NTL or telewest postcode checker to see if you have service.
