Freezing Problems - Still!!

After having broadband installed in January i've had non stop problems with the digital tv freezing and corrupting - this usually only happens while using the internet. The patterns which this happens are completely random but usually involve uploading (i think) when it happens. I think this as quite often my RDY light on my broadband modem will flash or go off. I also then have to reboot the modem and wait for the RDY light to flash fast then finally stay solid. Is this normal? Alot of the time the RDY light flashes slowly then goes off which means I then have to reboot the modem and then it will connect properly again.

The TV issue with the freezing continues after internet use, it usually lasts a couple of hours after it first started. I've had 4 engineers out for the problem, 1 fiddled with the white box outside my house and said one of the wires was crossing over, since then I haven't had complete signal loss (i used to get freezing on tv then finally a blackout of all signal including broadband too) but still have had the freezing, then 2nd went in my local box and changed some things due to my signal not being up to scratch - no difference, 3rd engineer checked the signal levels all seemed to be fine and adjusted something in my local box, then 4th engineer was supposedly one of the best due to my continual problems, he checked signal all was fine, only thing that seemed to be wrong was my return path he said, as it was a slight bit too high. He said this wouldn't really cause the freezing problems as other people in my area don't have these problems (i know for a fact), he then changed levels in the box of my area, and then gave me a new STB - the download of new software worked as did on the old one and I carried on as normal.

Thinking it may be all sorted i decided to play Call of Duty online which does require upload and download, during this (can't state how long through it) the STB started to have the same problems as before (this was 2 days after the last engineer called) it was freezing continually until 2 hours later when it decided to calm down again. Bare in mind that it doesn't always happen in Call of Duty, it seems to be completely random but this time it did happen with Call of Duty - I have gone hours of playing Call of Duty online without any problems. What could be the problem? This is really stressful now - I really need an engineer to get to the bottom of this. Please bare in mind that i have not noticed anything improve since the 1st engineer came and fiddled with the wires that had crossed over outside - since then i have not had a total loss of signal.
