Re: internet ip

AFAIK you will be given an address once you connect (aka DHCP style)
Unless you mean in what range?

BTW - Welcome to the site...

Re: internet ip

What is your problem andysmith ??

You get the ip when you connect. Why the attitude ? You will get loads of help from very clever people on this site if you ask nicely. I wont bother replying though as you plainly have a problem with me ! cant think why ?? Have I done something to upset you ?

Give it up Stu - anyone with an once of network knowledge knows that dialup IP's are allocated by DHCP after you connect and change everytime.

He clearly has had a personality bypass and as for an mcse - if this is an example of the level of knowledge of someone with such a qualification then they ain't worth the paper they are printed on.

Re: internet ip

If you want dial up and a static IP join PlusNet (www.plus.net) I think if you join as a PAYG customer you can still have a static IP.

True, but only if you join the versions with a monthly fee - I have seen the odd company do this but it is highly unusual.
