Is it a City Fibre problem?

I am with Fusion Fibre using the City Fibre network. My connection is a symmetrical 900Mb.

Over the last 18 months I haven't managed a down speed of 900Mb any time of day, although upstream is always over 900Mb. Should I not get the advertised speed occasionally? I test speed using the Ookla desktop app on an Ethernet connection.

Furthermore, given that I have a full fibre connection and City Fibre allegedly have a future-proof network, I am getting a pretty spiky profile on TTB. Even though my BB use is high, surely things should look smoother than this with so much packet loss.

Re: Is it a City Fibre problem?

Wow that's nasty, you obviously shouldn't be getting any of that red, so either there is a problem with the line or could it possibly be something going on with your router, the reason I say router as my graph on open reach used to have a little red but the connection was always fine, my router had a firmware update and my red vanished.

What did your ISP say when you got them out to check the line?
