Re: Season 2025/2026
The rules are the rules. Fair enough if you've found loopholes but this is admitting foul play then giving a reason. You have either broken the rules or you haven't.
Greedy bunch in my opinion. I reckon Palace are lucky to still be in a European competition. Go win it...

Re: Season 2025/2026
It was never going to be successful - CAS are there to ensure UEFA have applied the existing rules correctly, not whether they did the right thing.
The whole MCO thing has gotten a bit silly to the point they might as well just scrap any semblance of control they might have over it, and just allow it without all of this blind trust stuff, and then just keep an eye for anything which does sound unsporting, but none of that is what CAS were asked to do.
Palace were in a MCO and they took no steps to move Textor's shares into a blind trust by the deadline, so they were not eligible to be in the same competition as Lyon, and so as the lower placed side were demoted. It is as simple as that.

Re: Season 2025/2026
Important win today I don't think Arsenal will win the league but it's still important to pick up big wins

I went to an equally important opening win.

We were on it, nice to see us not need to counter attack.
Plus with the 2 new lads already signed and the other 2/3 who are apparently close, all attacking reinforcements, should give us even more options.
Just as well because our issue last season was breaking teams down who sat back and gave us the ball. Even Exeter managed it.

Re: Season 2025/2026
I wanted to watch Benfica vs Fenerbahçe. I'm glad I couldn't bring myself to changing channel. Sky had that in crystal clear UHD too It was a night of dreams

Yeah, not so keen on Swansea away though.
