Re: Cancel culture at the BBC

He become bigger than the BBC. Too much politics in a simple sports game. Good riddance bye.

The BBC need some new faces going forward.

I’d cancel Naga Munchetty. She pleaded a couple of years ago that the boat-people needed a place of safety.

Re: Cancel culture at the BBC

Funny to see this has become a thread with people requesting that the BBC cancels even more people who they don't personally like.

Why not? It’s all part of the same problem at the BBC.

I recently completed the BBC survey of what we want from “our BBC”. The questions were all about whether I wanted so see more or less of the stuff they currently do. No opportunity for addressing the quality of their journalism in terms of impartiality, etc.

Luckily I can get rte news for better reporting on the genocide rather than the BBC ITV sky news blandness.

tbf, your idea of "impartiality" would be Jacob Rees-Mogg or John Redwood…

Re: Cancel culture at the BBC

QED…

Impartiality in news reporting shouldn’t just be about if someone has a view, inviting someone with an opposing view on to counter them - if one side states "it’s raining outside this window" and the other disagrees, the interviewer’s/reporter’s job should be to open the curtains to check if it’s raining, not let either side spout on about unsupported statements.

If you think that the Victorian Pencil™ or The Vulcan are impartial because their statements and world-view aligns with yours, you may need to re-check your definition of "impartial"…

QED nothing. We just have different views. You seem to be part of lefty group think where these two are concerned.

People who don’t agree with Seph - "lefty group think"
People who agree with Seph - "impartial"

Re: Cancel culture at the BBC

So old man John Torode is gone. I found him to be creepy. Just his persona was strange. An old man trying to stay relevant.

Gregg Wallace seemed in your face type. Not an issue for me personally.

Re: Cancel culture at the BBC

Dont really know of either as I dont watch Masterchef.

Gregg Wallace seems to have done enough to warrent going.

John Torode seems another example of BBC Cancel Culture gone mad.
He made some comment at a social event 6 or 7 years ago, totally unwarrented response IMO.
