Question Sound goes on and off.

I have notice this recently that when I'm watching a channel and have the guide up. Either the full one or the small one. That when scrolling through the guide the sound goes off has I press the button. It also happens when scrolling through my recorded shows.
It does only last for a second and doesn't affect anything else, but it's only just started to do it.
Has there been a recent update which might have caused it?
Has anyone else noticed it?

Re: Sound goes on and off.

I've had that. The main reason I noticed it is I have to have the sound effects for menu navigation/operation ON (I won't go into why) and it makes it even more obvious as the sound effects stop too. That momentary sound cut out is very irritating while someone is talking.

The solution: reboot your box. It's not a thing that happens very often. I've had it happen 4-5 times over 9-12 months.

Re: Sound goes on and off.

Reboot is a good idea. Also try changing the Dobly setting on the V6.
