Yeah I had it scoped a few years back, and there was a slight ACL weakness, which meant I had to wear a knee brace for 6 months to stabilise things. My physio said as long as I work on strengthening it (plenty of quad curls) and aim for no more than 10k on a run, I should be ok if I keep it strapped up, but rest if I get any pain that lasts longer than 24 hours.

The parcel got delivered on the 28th June. I brought some fat spanner pedals as well. I'm going to take the lot to a bike specialist who will fit it all. The seat has alignment markers. I don't know what I'm doing so I'm going to leave it to a professional.

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?
So while Mrs Russ was off doing Mrs Russ stuff I quickly grabbed her bathroom scales and whether it’s the extra cardio, the Ozempic or a mixture of both I’ve now dropped around 9lb since the start of May. Optimistically-speaking it may even be a stone given how the readings can change through the day but I’ve averaged it out as 9lb. Gut has certainly reduced and all my belts need at least one new hole.
The loss has been my gut as none of my lifts have decreased which is what initially worried my and that V shape I’ve been after for so long is finally there. And yep Mrs Russ is happy with it too
I’m not going to say the ‘zempic is good (or affordable) for everyone but all I can say is it’s done the trick for me. I should still be feeling the effects (reduced appetite) for another week or two and the aim then is to keep it off. Hopeful the cardio increases will help there too.

Weigh yourself at the same time of day, then you can control out any fluctuations. Preferably naked, first thing in the morning, after you’ve taken a dump.

Even then you have no control over food in transit or water retention inflammation and so on . I weigh Thursday afternoons not ideal but I always drink first thing and eat the same food Wednesday and Thursday mornings and always take an anti inflammatory on Wednesday but even then there are variables so only really take on board month to month. Although now I am at target its not so crucial

Oh it’s definitely always after I’ve sunk a submarine.
Problem with the same time of day is that it’s not an accurate representation of my weight. This is why I’ve always done it 4/5 times a day and worked out the average. To be honest since I started lifting I’ve not paid much attention to the scales, instead I’ve always gone on increases in lifts, how often I’ve been able to throw an extra pair of 2.5kgs on the bar etc.
In this instance I’ve focussed on body shape and inches off my waist (was 38 inch, now finding 36 starting to feel slack in most jeans). Scales have just been for my ego

Re: Who Is Getting Fit This Year?
Do you have scars from the jabs Russ?
I have an annual checkup next month. I think I might ask of Ozempic. I have zero energy. I had referrals to Crawley wellbeing where I just couldn't keep up with the classes but I was 10kg lighter than I am now with weight loss progress. I was offered a personal trainer after a wellbeing introduction.
