Well done!.
Anyway, on to my happy thought..
Yesterday, I got a rather paniced call from a lecturer. One of her students was suffering chest pains and had trouble breathing, so, being a first aider, I went to see him, suspecting a heart attack.
Immediately I got in the room, I called '999', and went through the symptoms with the operator. I didn't think it was a heart attack (he wasn't showing all the symptoms). After a few minutes, the operator said that an ambulance was on it's way, and I'd get a call if they needed any more information.
15 minutes passed, and a Ambulance turned up. I went flying down to the security desk to report what had happened, and escort the Paramedics upstairs. Unfortunately, another student in a lecture theatre had had a major seizure, and they were here for that student.
Unfortunately the Ambulance never turned up and the student called his mother to take him to A&E. A&E took a look, and advised him to go see his GP for blood tests.
My boss spoke to him today, and thankfully, apart from having to have blood tests, he is alright. It sounds like it was just a severe panic attack.
