Well we hear in analogue. So moving original analogue to digital will always lose something but it's getting better than it once did and once in digital copying is more accurate. Still you have to move back to analogue so you can hear it. I find too many modern systems colour the sound, probably to suit general taste. I found same back in 94 when I bought my Denon D70 midi system, it had most natural sound. (Wish I could find new midi systems but only full size (won't fit cabinet) or mini/micro now. I think Quad may have midi size but I can't afford that! My D70 drawers for both CD and tape don't open properly.)
