Someone offering VPN access for £25 for a lifetime access has to make their money somewhere other than the subscription and usually it's selling all the data that goes through their service. Be it sites visited for advertisers and it's also been known for them to sell email addresses seen in forms and urls too.
The fact they have to log to sell the data means they can also be compelled law or the courts to turn over their logs to whichever lawyers want them.
All stuff to keep in mind.
As an example of one vpn providers logs, Safetun for Apple phones, which got pwned and it's logs stolen, they log this kind of information for http requests (I redacted the emails and truncated some lines but this is just form the last 100 or so lines of the log so you get an idea):
Oh and if you ever used HideMyAss as a VPN in the past, all your login details and passwords have been passed around so much I would hope you have all changed passwords since.
