It’s unlikely you will ever see 4K on Freeview with the current compression system & the number of frequencies that are being “robbed” from the system to service 4th gen & now 5th gen mobile networks.

The two commercial HD muxes have only got a stay of execution for three years & then the channels carried will have to fight for space on the remaining three muxes.
