500mb now not available in my area

Last year I was on 350mb (still am at the moment) and I did a check to see if 500mb was available to new customers in my area and it was definitely available.

I upgraded to Ultimate Oomph and the retention fella told me that the max that can be offered in my area is 350mb due to a temp restriction and it will be upgraded when it is available again. New customers in my postcode are offered 350mb.

Since then I have spoke to 2 engineers at nearby properties and they know nothing about any restrictions and say it’s probably wrongly flagged and to speak to customer services as it is definitely available in this area.

There is no faults on the status page.

I’ve had my pc open on chat for the last 4 days and despite having one reply on Saturday to confirm I am the account holder it keeps starting again and I have to put details back in and it sits for the whole day with no reply.

I have tried the Virgin forum as well and it took a week to tell me someone replied and it was me adding more information.

Any ideas anyone?
