Got a plumber coming on 10th Nov to service it so hopefully they will find the issue.

At a guess, your thermostat is bust, and convection alone is carrying a little heat to the upstairs rads while the boiler is working to heat your hot water.
However your friendly neighbourhood plumber will diagnose and sort it pretty quickly I’d have thought.
