Microwave oven door. It's been sticking for some time and getting worse: Looked at the operation and the lower catch seemed to have lost motion compared to the upper one. Both catches operate individual safety cutouts

Dismantled the door and found that a hole in the operating strap to the lower catch was elongated. 35 years of use had worn it oval. The operating strap has two small dog-legs in it so by straightening them out with a mole wrench sufficient lost motion could be recovered. They were there to prevent the strap falling off the operating pins. A general bend in the strap performs the same function now.

Catches now work without sticking. Job done.
