My Virgin Media - Online Account

Just impossible to login.
Forgotten password and follow the set procedure to go nowhere.

It ends with a panel that I filled in correctly from my bill, but it
keeps saying the bill details are wrong with a heading "please confirm your username".
I have never used this account online and have forgotten the password.
My username is my email address.

Anybody got a clue ?
