The networks also had hope for The Event and FlashForward, both of which started with huge ratings, received a "back nine" to give them a full season, and then massively haemorrhaged viewers until finally being cancelled after a single season.

Revolution
Episode/ Viewers in M
1 /11.65
2 /9.21
So far, Revolution has had a better premiere than The Event, but is outranked by Flash Forward. However, Revolution has lost 2.44m viewers from Ep1 to Ep2. FF lost 1.73 and TE 1.82.
I wonder if the ratings dwindle will continue and if it will be comparable to the fast downward spiral that both TE and FF suffered!

As an update for that list:

Revolution episode 3: 8.32 million
So its ratings are already dropping... Also, its share of the all-important 18-49 demographic is also decreasing each week.
Given the ratings & given the network (and given that it's also like The Event and FlashForward in that it's trying to be another Lost-type show with a slowly teased out mystery using flashbacks) I predict that it will drop and drop and drop and get canned after one season.
This happens every year.
