But insurance premiums are mysterious things. Mrs P and I both reduced our premiums by adding each other as named drivers to our policies. How does that work?

I have checked, the only thing thats changed is my excess which they've lowered to £100. Different underwriter, but cover the same.
(Yes, insurance is weird. I've added myself to one sons insurance and lowered his premium. However if I'm added to my other sons insurance increases it for him !)
