Re: DIY/lighting assistance.

A 3 watt led is very dim, around 300 lumens.

5000 lumens is average for a 250sq ft room, and that's about eight 10 watt led's (although some of the new COB lamps are brighter, especially daylight spectrum).

Led tubes can be a better option.

But in a wet room or bathroom, new regs mean you can be restricted to 12v not mains.

Our 2mx 2m bathroom is lit by a single 15w (100 equiv) 1500 lumen daylight led bulb in a watertight ceiling globe.
