CAT6 will be fine, I only run CAT5e at home, GB to all ports, no point going any faster as my internet connection is only 200MB and don't transfer stuff internally its all from online.

Also don't run single points in, at least put a double in, if you can put more than needed i.e. to TV's account for everything i.e. Sky/VM box, TV, DVD player, games console you name it give it all a port if you can.
