Re: How does my Monitor Look? - What causes ping spikes?

As a comparison, this is my connection with AAISP which is over FTTC/VDSL2.

The yellow blocks/spikes are down to Netflix usage or just general usage of the connection.

Tracing route to 8.8.8.8 over a maximum of 30 hops

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 13 ms 13 ms 13 ms 81.187.81.187
3 12 ms 13 ms 13 ms 90.155.53.104
4 13 ms 14 ms 13 ms 5.57.80.136
5 14 ms 14 ms 14 ms 108.170.246.161
6 14 ms 14 ms 14 ms 108.170.230.161
7 13 ms 13 ms 13 ms 8.8.8.8

I'd say your graph, from the bit that can be seen, is fairly decent for a VM connection. Would be useful to see a full 24 hours though, just to see what it's like at peak times.
