There’s someone very like this in Scotland (actually not in Scotland at all, he lives in Bath, bizarrely, but he runs a bonkers independence website called Wings over Scotland), by the name of Stuart Campbell.

sponges is funded by donations to his website from his readers, who are, shall we say, slightly to one side of the mainstream of Scottish independence campaigners. He recently tried to sue Kezia Dugdale, the former Scottish Labour leader, who opined in a newspaper column that he had made comments that were homophobic. He lost.
