Re: Freeview HD/SD channel swaps being piloted

Not one for bumping old threads but there's been a new development.

The BBC has quietly introduced Channel List Management on Freeview according to RXTV.

Basically it enables the likes of HD swapouts if you have a compatible TV amd it's connected to the internet.

Only BBC HD channels though. Interesting that it's broadcaster independent, I hadn't really considered it. Channel 5 HD could have swapped on Freeview too as there are no regional variations anywhere, let alone Freeview, so if it was the company running Freeview behind the change you'd have thought that chanel swap would have changed too.
