A less than enjoyable game. Roy Hodgson sure knows how to set up a side to spoil. United didn't have the nous to overcome it. 20+ shots but only 3 on target is poor. Apart from the 18 fouls Palace committed I'm sure their players had instructions to feign injury every time they took a hard tackle. The only player to come off injured was a United player and 5 minutes extra time in both halves showed just how much time Palace where wasting. It completely broke up the rhythm of the game. Their physio must have covered more distance than anyone else on the pitch.
At least the sun was shining.
