Looking at it very broadly since the series came back in 2005 you are looking at the high 7m if not 8m as an average and it is on the last two seasons that it has dropped to around 5m. The optimists may say it is a pandemic related drop so we'll have to see if the trend continues with the next season. You would like to think they have taken the hint with the declining viewers and listened to everyone's feedback but I think these types of producers and writers like to double down (Supergirl, Discovery and Grey's Anatomy are prime examples) and dig their own grave and just keep going until the series get's cancelled.
