It seems strange that Natural History content was used to showcase HD in the early days and that we have now reached the stage where the HD version of a Natural History channel has been removed.

There's a lot of speculation around at the moment and ultimately, we'll see how any reorganisation of the channel structure at UKTV affects us as VM TV users.

Of course, the genre is niche and doesn't attract a large audience. It's possible that Sky doesn't want to pay a share of subscription revenue to a competitor and would prefer to attract Eden viewers to the Nat Geo Wild channel, which is within the News Corporation/Fox family. Compare this with the recent situation where Sky reduced support for the Discovery group of channels.
