Now matter how much she was told hardly anyone uses bitmaps due to their size, she wouldn't have it.
In a way she's correct, jpg = bitmap, gif = bitmap, bmp = bitmap, png = bitmap, tiff = bitmap. Unless she was of course referring specifically to .bmp's which are the windows bitmap format, which apparently is the only format that actually gives larger file sizes when compressed, and which would mean she was talking out of her bottom.
