Re: M1000 is available. How to order?

Yodel delivered the Hub 4 on the appointed day and hour.

VM have automated activation by use of text messaging. When ready, I had to send a “GO” text and they activated the circuit.

In router mode, I got 980/54. In modem mode directly to the Hub 4, same. In modem mode vis an ASU’s RT AC68U I could barely get 800/52. I put this down to the ASU’s router. So while I mull over an ASU’s AX11000, I’ll revert to router mode and big W the IP address change bullet for two attached peripherals.

I haven’t yet tried real world download speeds. I like 50 meg upload; I can’t see it rising to 100 meg until they have a DOCSIS 3.1 solution for the upstream. It would screw everybody’s upstream if, with 4 channels, they allowed 100 meg.

Three further observations:

1/
It’s DOCSIS 3.1 that’s used for the 1 Gig service;

2/
I have 32 downstream channels, one of which is duff and not locked;

3/
The Hub 4 light stays dim white in modem mOde. A minor annoyance.
