But if I knew that the significant road accident could then cause a number of other road accidents, who would then go on to cause lots more road accidents, which would then go on to cause even greater numbers of road accidents - I probably wouldn't...

And if one of the mutations finds a way round the vaccine, that defeats all the work we have put in already.
