Yes, the ASUS should connect okay with the defaults. Once connected, you can play with the other settings to your hearts content. I would also recommend Merlin firmware for the ASUS. Many of the tweaks Merlin makes end up in the official ASUS firmware. That's how good the Merlin firmware is .....
