"The role of Clark Kent has not yet been cast. Will this news start up the Tom Welling rumors once again? He starred on Smallville, which ended its run on CW several years ago. With the premiere of Supergirl, many fans wondered if Welling would take on the Clark Kent role for the new series.
With Supergirl now housed on CW, it is possible that Welling could pick up the role, but the actor said that he had not been asked to reprise his role. That might change with the Supergirl move. Fans will have to wait and see who picks up the role of Clark Kent. That news should come in the weeks ahead"
I would love to see Tom Welling come back. He would be the perfect fit for it as he is now the more experienced, older and maturer of the two super heroes.
