Is that confirmed by the BBC that its about being platform neutral?

If so I'll revise my view and put the blame solely at the feet of the BBC.

There is no reason you can't do both for god's sake. That actually makes it easier for people.

Plus 40mbs unlimited internet isn't platform neutral as it rules out so many people.

This is really making the BBC look stupid.
