Whilst waiting for the missus, I nipped into a Spar that has reopened after a THREE YEAR REFIT.

I was gobsmacked by the prices.

250g of own brand butter £3.25!

A bog standard "cheapo" loaf of sliced bread £1.80!

A 4-pint bottle of skimmed milk £2.60!

Paracetamol 16 pack £1.20.
