The smoke from the tyres/brakes is pretty normal and you see it often and as far as I'm aware, had nothing to do with the problem. The problem wasn't Hamilton going for first place, it was accidentally hitting a button. Again you don't cruise or ease into 2nd place from a standing start.
I think what people can't look past is that 2nd place is better than 15th. Of course that is true, but that isn't what caused the problem.
