The only mechanism now to rid of this stubborn Prime Minister, is for Parliament itself, Starmer could himself raise a no confidence vote, I reckon there would be two thirds requirement, to oust him, there is still the little issue of him going to Buckingham Palace to resign and naming a successor.

I still think it's not a constitutional crisis. What parts of it have been tested yet? The notion the PM should go when the men in grey suits tell them to do so may be a Tory Party tradition but behind that tradition is the implication that if they don't do so they'll be booted out anyway. Johnson has decided that rather than go quietly he'll go kicking and screaming.
But in theory, the Tories will have their vote, he loses and he resigns. If he were to ignore the results of that vote and/or try to call an election then it's a constitutional crisis.
This is just weird and a little bit a funny so far.
