Looking at how close ITV came to a financial crisis just a few short years ago with the reduction in advertising, I don't think it would take a lot before some of the smaller TV companies called it a day. Sadly, it won't stop there.
As the majority of sports rights are held by Sky and BT it would take a huge loss in audience share for either of these to go bust.

The smaller broadcasters (Prem Spts, Freesports) have little content so if they went bust they would not be missed by many.
