Well, I've managed to find a pretty good working proxy so *leeeeetle* bit happier today. Also used the Firefox 'about.config' hack to increase maxrequests ( http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1299854/posts ) though I don't like to usually, I'm sure it must put a strain on servers.. That said, I've only increased it very slightly and coupled with the proxy, my surfing experience is much better.
Pings are still way high or none existent as shown below, and tracert is losing route halfway through. Seems to lose it around the cableinet mark - wonder if this could have anything to do with any work that's being implemented re the Telewest merge, as it's their network (I think?).
Trying my utmost not to sound whingy as I'm aware work *is* going on, but I'm becoming more than a bit fed up now.
I should call them really but again, I hate whinging at people.
Just hope something is being done.
