hmm, I'm using Palemoon (firefox derivative) and all worked perfectly a few days ago. Haven't done an upgrade . . wondered if youtube had slightly altered something?
I even turned my adblocker off to try it
anyway, left the PC alone and went to do something else (reading) for a few hours, come back and it's working again now
It will probably remain one of the many intriguing mysteries of the interweb
