Robert Mueller’s letter to William Barr, in which he criticised the attorney general over a summary of his report on the Trump-Russia investigation, has been released online.
In the letter, the special counsel said he was concerned the public could be confused by the four-page summary that Mr Barr sent to senior members of Congress.
"The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not full capture the context, natures and substance of this Office's work and conclusions," the note reads.
It continues: "There is new public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations."
