My happy is that I have just installed a bog standard £6.99 15 meter phone cable delivered over night by Amazon (
other suppliers and lenghts are available 
) which fits into the supplied VM Hub3 adapter and can now have the landline phone where I want it rather than within a short distance from the hub.
Waste of a tech visit just to find out he was only allowed to fit a 3 meter extension which transfered me over to whater it's called now but left my phone in a position that wasn't where we wanted it. Maybe he was telling fibs and didn't want to be bothered .. hope not we gave him a cup of tea
but he did confirm all we needed was a longer phone cable
