I live near a building that's been derelict for around 10 years and recently since they have started work to restore the listed building the entire block of flats has been invaded by fruit flies.

What's the best way to get rid of them, u cant even make a meal without getting flies all over its ridiculous.

A representative spoke to the council in regards to this and were told when the shrubbery is all taken care of outside the building the flies should subside but they gave no date to when this will be.
