ntl:World Server:
32ms - Normal - it's about right!

UK Server 2 (www.bbc.co.uk):
34ms - Normal - it's about right!

UK Server 3 (www.ic24.net):
16ms - Excellent - better than expected

then.....

ntl:World - 128k service Server Download:
10KB/s (80Kb/s) - Below Average - you're paying for almost twice this!

Download through Transparent Cache:
18KB/s (144Kb/s) - Superb - much higher than expected

Download using a transparent proxy is better

"Average time taken to retrieve a page: 0ms - At least one of the pages requested failed to download. This may indicate problems with your Webcache. Run the test again to confirm this."

- some of your results may be 'knock ons' from the recent outages, but it could be it is your proxy settings that could do with tweaking? - are they set to be transparent or explicit?
