Well we are a consititutional monarchy, not a pure monarchy, as such the people and their elected government make decisions for the country.

The queen whilst signing these laws, is not creating them, and will sign something she does not agree with as it has been agreed by our elected representatives.

However, it is interesting that they are taking legal advice over the latest changes to the EU consititution as it threatens their poweres.

So being as the monarchy has limited power in setting of law and taxes etc, the ability to corrupt the process is also limited.
