allright anyway i found the source of the slowness. she has just gone from talk talk with a usb modem to bt with a usb router. thats what was making it very slow so we got a ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£8 LAN card from PCWORLD and since i didnt have to install any drivers it has stopped freezing and going slow. Bloody BT! GRRR!
