thing is the free router is a "Live box" which is like that bt thing, but its a big white box that flashes. pretty sure its USB also. My GF works for orange, 2gb policy is inforced she thinks and its availible to current customers but youll have to upgrade to an 18 month contract and have a tariff which is £30+ a month.
