Well, I've only ever used 2 different ones... the Linksys WRT54G which will set you back about ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£40ish or the Cisco Aironet which costs a helluva lot more.

Just to reiterate, I've never tried connecting a mobile phone to a wireless AP... didn't even think you could do it, so someone else will have to help you with that part, I'm afraid.

edit: just realised... that'd be bluetooth. So it is possible, but I've never done it.
