I'm assuming your computer's ethernet port is enabled? It may be that you don't have the latest drivers for that, in which case you
may need to download those, but I'd doubt it. You can check if the port is enabled by looking in your network connections settings from control panel.
Assuming it is connected, all you should need to do is power off the PC and modem, unplug all the USB leads from both modem and PC, plug in your ethernet lead (standard straighttype, not crossover) and then power up modem, let settle and power up PC, let settle.
